DR. BEAT FAQs

Q: How long have you been dancing for?
A: I started Breaking in 1997 but I joined my first dance class aged 5!

Q: Where can I see you dance?
A: Check the events page here for details. Also just keep an eye out at Hip-Hop clubs & events across Scotland and you might catch me rocking those funky beats. If you really can't wait till then (?!) you could always check out my showreels page here ;)

Q: Can you dance in our show / video / event?
A: There's nothing I LOVE more than dancing & performing. Send me an email here and lets chat!
But we need lots of dancers?
Cool. I'll bring my whole crew then. I am a member of Glasgow based crew, the Flyin' Jalapenos, who perform regularly across the UK for events such as T In The Park, Rock Ness, Scottish Royal Variety Performance & Breakin' Convention as well as competing in local and international competitions.

Q: What was that move you just did?
A: Unfortunately, unless it was part of a choreography, a class or you managed to capture it on film, I probably won't remember. I mostly 'freestyle' (creating/inventing in the moment) when I dance, taking my cues from the music or the situation so it generally never comes out the same twice.

Q: Can you come and teach for our group / event?
A: Sure, I'll need to consult my diary tho... (I often get booked months in advance) Send me an email here, with the following details: proposed date(s) & times - group size/age range/level - location/venue - dance style etc... and we'll take it from there.

Q: Do you have Public Liability Insurance for teaching?
A: Yes. I am a fully registered member of Equity and hence covered under their Public Liability policy. A copy of the current policy is avalible on request

Q: Are you Disclosure Scotland/CRB checked?
A: Yes, although the Disclosure system is currently changing in Scotland. I do have copies of all the Disclosure Scotland checks I have had spanning back to 2003. Copies of these are also avaliable on request

Q: What was that tune you were playing?
A: If it was in a class, feel free to ask me at anytime about the music playing and I'll let you know

Want to know anything else??? Just drop me an email here
